Here I am testing the Gilbert’s Hardware water with First Alert. I’m using the 4-test water kit, and purposely added lead to one of the water samples to get a positive result. With the Detroit city water, I expected excellent scores.
The DIY kit tests water for bacteria, lead, pesticides, nitrates/nitrites, chlorine, hardness and pH levels. The kit gives results quickly without mailing samples, extra fees or waiting for a lab analysis.
The test did show we have hard water at the store. How’d that happen, Detroit?
